The boat with the pink coloured stripe down the side has been moored at Potter for the last 3 days.  Where are the Rangers?

This boat has hogged the electric point.

The Council at Ely really does have the problem sorted. You can stay on the Council moorings for 48 hours and then you must move on and not return for at least 48 hours. Any infringement gets you a whopping £100 fine for each day you overstay. They have a little man from the Council walking the moorings every morning noting the boat details. If adopted by BA this would go some way to solving the problem.

CaRT also have a plan at Bishops Stortford on the River Stort. You are allowed 14 days in one year to moor in the town and after that you are fined. I am not sure what the fine is but I am sure it is a deterrent to overstayers.

That boat looks like one of the new fisheries protection boats, must have took a wrong turn at Yarmouth.
Where are the Rangers? Is that a Rangers boat moored in front of it?

Bella - That WAS a Rangers boat , one of those sold off a few years back. This particular one was bought by the owners of that first property on the path, and is actually moored in their garden.

BELLA: That is an ex-rangers boat purchased a few years ago from BA.

The large boat is, I think grey, and we've seen it around at least this last year or so. An ex hire boat now in private ownership.

Hi All
Hope all are well you can see we are missing the Broads as we keep up with the posts.
I have been aboard the launch at Potter moored at the bungalow and it is truly well presented and deserves to be with it's present owner kept beautifully.
We have also moored alongside grey boat with red stripe at Ranworth and where made very welcome so a nice picture of two well looked after boats together.
Kindest Regards
Marge and Parge

Would it not be best  that all boats must have a permanent mooring before they are issued with a 12 month broads toll.
Adrian.

Maybe culprits wasn't the best way to describe the people in question, they are not breaking any of the current rules I realise,  I do feel that it is the thin end of the wedge and things will almost certainly become worse if not addressed and the rules altered so that we all get a fair crack of the whip, make it so that these people cannot hog all the popular moorings.

M&A I think that was the point that Karen was making recently, I feel that this would be a move in the right direction

Im pretty certain the grey boat is a live a board, they bought the boat from a well known yard in Wroxham about 2 years ago, they work part time in the Stalham area.  At this time of the year are they really doing any harm?

kindest regards
