Only just noticed this series . . . .

On BBC Four this evening from 1930 hrs to 2000 hrs, the presenter is travelling from Marple to Huddersfield on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Not quite an ancient mariner ...... though some say he was at sea before Pontius was a pilate !

A very enjoyable, honest programme. I am recording it but will keep to watch again in the future.

Thanks for that, John. I found it an enjoyable 'down-to-earth' slice of canal life.

I believe the last in this current series is on next Monday, same channel and time - and he's travelling from Sowerby Bridge to Manchester on the Rochdale Canal.

Yes Steve so did i lovely scenery water looks a bit murky and couldn't help but notice the cost of eggs at £1=67 half doz lot more expensive down here, bacon looked good, would have liked to see more of the stops/mooring places then he showed, and was it his drone that showed the aerial views, rules must be different up their, altogether a enjoyable program.
