Dear All

Urgent Boating News - Ludham Bridge Width Restriction.  Please note that Norfolk District Council have undertaken a temporary necessary repair on the fendering under Ludham bridge which has reduced the width clearance by 150mm/5.9 inches.  We will advise again when this changes and a permanent repair is undertaken.
Kind Regards

Does anyone know if this the work they did a few weeks back or another 6 inches narrowing?

I believe overall they have narrowed it further by up to another 4" or so.

However I am assured it is temporary and when the next stage is completed over the winter, the navigable width will be restored to previous levels - the situation is being monitored!!!!!

It doesn't look any narrower than it did a few weeks back after they put new wood on. Still just one row of new wood apart from the section on the boatyard side that was damaged and the original wood has been cut out there and replaced..
