It would be nice if the Broads Authority would publish this information.

Thanks for raising my tolls John!

So I'll do their ob for them.

With the heat at the moment, and with the forecast for the next few days expect the swing bridges being unable to swing during the day.

This is due to thermal expansion of the bridge platform. Blaim the Victorian builders Smile

If things go as usual they will not be able to swing between about 10:00 and 18:00.

This is a Mariners Notice from the Norfolk Broads Forum, not from the Broads Authority, who are paid to do it.

Olease put all donations in the box Wink

Hi.

You think they Railtrack/BA would come up with a simple solution to th annual problem.

Simply cool the bridge structure. They do have plenty of coolant close by ie. the river!!! Just pump it onto the bridge and haypresto!! no expanding bridge.

As a matter of interest why are Railtrack allowed to block the right of navigation without some form of legal redress! I'm pretty sure if a hire company Boat damage a bridge sufficient as to jam it open Railtrack would perssue the hire company for lost of use! I guess the same would apply to a private boat also.

Annoys me that Railtrack get away scot free with causing so much preventable disruption to the Navigation, Throwse being a very  good example, it should open, just because Railtrack don't want to fix it, they should be forced to.

We done to Richard for the reporting work, BA might take you on payroll  LOL.

John.

Kind regards, John(Captain
Joshie), Jo & Toby.

Hello to All
How come you havn't sussed the problem you are all educated people. The problem is that the train operator is trying to get the driver to open and close it. They recon if they can do the train doors they should do the bridge as well. Smile

Whew just nipped down for an Ovaltine for me and Marge, just caught the news and they have offered Southern Rail drivers 70k PA. I told her and she won't let me back up stairs without a Southern Train drivers uniform on. I said "we are all the same underneath" she replied "only a few get paid to open and close doors for everybody and control their careers." I shouted back "I'm a real man cause in my day I used to open and slam shut the train door my self." Yo welcome back up stairs with two Ovaltines. Smile
