Barry I have loved reading this thread and watching the journey, and just like everyone else I would love to see more pics when she is embarking on her first trip in her new splendour. Inside and out please!
You have done an amazing job and I salute you. I cant wait to see her on the river. Congratulations and vey best wishes for next part of the adventure - sitting back and enjoying her.

The 20th November will mark seven years from you starting this thread. We have known of your project and your involvement for 5 or so years, from when we were side by side at Wayford to now, only 5 berths away from each other in Richos wet shed. We have seen Star Premiere progress from a parlous state with daylight showing between the boards, copious rot and desperately in need of work; to what we saw today in the wet shed - it is difficult to believe that it is the same boat - magic!
We know that a number of people worked on the boat but the whole project seemed to be in yours and Alan's care and it is a testament to your dedication that this wonderful old woody has been saved.
We (Mrs. R and I) have noted a tinge of sadness in your last couple of posts. We are sure that, after being involved in the project for seven long years, it must be a wrench to have the project coming to an end and to have to find new things to do - but we are sure that you will.
Be sure that whenever we see Star Premiere we will know that she is there because of you. Well done to everyone who worked on her but especially to your good self.
Enjoy Star Premiere when you can - you will always be welcome on our Star Glory.
Look forward to seeing you around the wet shed soon.
I take it i have a new neighbour then? I will hone my reversing skills so as not to bump into you! Look foward to having you as a neighbour and sure to have a drink or two in the coming years. Enjoy your boat as i know you will and we shall see you soon.
