Doing a bit of browsing, I came across the minutes of the Broads Society, dated 6 November 2017. A piece that caught my attention was this snippet:

“13.11 Future Provision of Moorings – Paul Savage reported that the purchase of the café moorings at Acle Bridge has been completed. The Broads Authority will carry out improvement works on quay heading etc. Paul went on to say that Hoveton viaduct moorings have been halved by taking out the steels and grading the bank but the moorings are still functioning.

I am aware that the BA intend to reduce their responsibility at Hoveton Viaduct moorings by 50%, but hadn’t realised the work had been carried out. So I took a walk along there this morning, to find not one single mooring post had been removed, nor had any piling been taken out. Where do these people get their information from?
