The 101 service is a national service, which automatically connects the caller to the call-centre of the police force nearest their location. So calling 101 from Stokesby would connect to Norfolk Police (manned 24/7), not to Broads Beat specifically (periodic manning).

The cost of a 101 call is 15p, no matter how long the call, or whether it is made from a land line or a mobile phone, not 15p per minute.

So, it seems that, while people may be aware of 101, they don't necessarily know just how it works.

All police forces retain a geographical number (which will be free to call if on an all-inclusive plan). For Norfolk, it is 01953 424242. For those elsewhere in the UK, the list of numbers for all forces can be found here.

"..for the avoidance of any doubt, the broads are not legally a national park and do not come under the national park legislation, and nor will they."

SB once again you show just out of touch with modern life you are (which is probably why you see everyday behaviour as a problem) people film violent crimes being perpertrated every day, people film acts of violence everyday, people film anything and everything everyday and then post them on social media sites. This happens day in and day out, in fact a lot of the time it’s the perps who film themselves and post it. No one would think twice about filming what went on at Stokesby let alone a bunch of drunks drinking and cavorting in Horning on a Saturday night.
Spend a couple of hours troling through “you tube” and other such sites, it might just open your eyes.

P.s. I am not condoning or encouraging anyone to take part in these activities or actually film them, I am merely stating that is what happens on a daily basis.

Blimey TT you have gone so much off topic I cant remember what this thread is about !

Oh yes I remember you said:
if this behaviour was common place then there would would be hours and hours of footage online, please show me where it is.

Quite where your going with this bemuses me.

At the Stokesby incident there must have been around 50 witnesses. As far as I am aware (and you would know better as you seem to troll around you tube looking for law breaking videos)there are no videos or photos of the incident. So using your analogy the incident didn't happen? The anti social late nights we are talking about happen in the dark not great for photography. Inside the boats why do you think these guys will video themselves and post on you tube? I bet a lot do video parts of it, eg drinking competitions but can see no reason to post on youtube. Hardly ground braking is it.

having thought about this over the weekend I have decided to not comment on this thread for a while I cant see it going any further for now.

All that is happening is TT and me are verbally bashing each other which I don't think does either of us any good.

So TT you can have the last word and we will wait until next year and see what prevails

Edited to add we seem to have lost around 20 pages of this thread which is probably not such a bad thing

Edited again to say all 45 pages are back now so don't know what happened there

Its not the destination its the journey that matters
