Here's a chance for somebody to have a say in how the Authority do things. There must be someone on this forum who could apply.

Steve,

As I only fit into one of those categories I dont spose I stand much chance.

I firmly believe that any organisation/company that includes the quote above are ageist/sexist/racist/all the other ists. Otherwise, why bother mention it?

Hi Gary

I was wondering what catagory that you fit into, and the only one i could come up with was a women, as like me you have an upper torso figure (trying to be P.C. here) to carry it off.    Evil Grin

Would it be out of order to suggest that one or more of the Forum luminaries are nominated with the backing of Forum members. Be interesting to see how the BA would deal with someone with that much backing!

Or am I just dreaming!

Regards
Geoff

Last comment sounds like the start of a trade union - complete with representative!  What shall we call ourselves?

Edit: Sorry - should have put a smiley on this - meant in jest. Smile

Obviously, it's up to any individual if they wish to join the BA in the capacity suggested but it would be most definitely as an individual and not as a representative of the NBF.

As has been stated several times in another thread recently, the NBF was not created as a political pressure group. This is Richard's decree and, until he decides otherwise, that's the way it will remain.

Pandora-3,

There is absolutely no need for an apology.

My post was only meant to state the facts and, unfortunately, it did so rather too starkly.

It should have been tempered a little more so, in fact, it's me who should apologise...sorry!  Blush

Dibbler - no apologies needed or sought. Just realised I wasn't clear so edited it clearly to make it so, a dry sense of humour often doesn't read well - I guess that's why they invented smilies Smile

Fell overboard? Let's just wait here, the tide will bring him back in.

I see no reason why a group should not propose a representative but the reality is that that representative will be expected to act independently of the group. Personally I disagree with that requirement but that is how it is.

Having been there I am convinced that clever presentation, along with results from biased 'consultation', tends to provoke the administration's desired result.

Jenny Morgan,

Say 'yes dear' and be accused of being indecisive, be decisive and be accused of not saying 'yes dear'! Us men can never win.
