Daft question but do all the power points located on the broads use the same electric card.
Probably be a bit stupid if they didn't but i thought i would check.

Thanks

Good question as I wonderded the same thing.

Pity they dont take bank cards, as at times out of season  when I have wanted to use electric points I could not get any cards.

Hi boatman and Paul

The cards are the same for all the BA hook ups, they are available at some post offices, Potter post office stocks them all year and some boat yards, and when they are open the BA / tourist information offices, Ranworth, Hoveton and Potter during the season and by post from Colgate I believe.

Kindest regards, Victor Meldrew Mk2 and I don't care who know's it!!

Is there a definitive list as to where we may find these electric hook up posts?

A pdf listing where all the points are and where you may buy cards is available here http://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/boating/facilities-and-access/electric-charging-points.html

Having been caught out late last year when we needed to hook up at Ranworth Staithe, the shop was shut and we didn't have any cards being v.new to shore power etc,  (a fellow forumite helped us out)

We now carry 20 x cards onboard at all times, so if you are stuck for a card and we are around, then as fellow forumites you are welcome, just ask.
