Try Joining Horning Sailing Club, they have some moorings left, though the other side of the river. A pair of club rowing dinghies are provided. Even with club membership (£110 for a family this years membership) the bill will be under half of a commercial mooring.
That get you use of the clubhouse, water on tap, showers, toilets and car park. With one requirement of A single Sundays duty between March and October (rescue boat or tea bar).
Then that will also allow you to join any club social events or racing should you wish (no requirement to do so.) See https://horning-sailing.club/ for contact details and more detail of the club.. Or go down to the club any Sunday up till 15th of October and ask to someone in charge. After that sailing is under control of Snowflake sailing club...(but not the moorings)
