Can anyone advise if there are any moorings through Bishop's Bridge? We go to Norwich often and always moor at the Yacht Station but sometimes we only want to go there for a short time as we visit our daughter around the Magdalen Street area. We have seen the occasional private boat moored up temporarily but wasn't sure if they were moored up in a private mooring? Thanks for any help.
Hire craft are not allowed under the bridge but if you are on your own boat and can get under that bridge then there a few place bank side where you can moor. Just remember the rise and fall can be a good few feet. The Rib of Beef can be along side and a nice stop over for a pint too .
I did take a video of the bridges right up to New Mills Yard - EoN. Will post it here for you.
I cruise on THE NORFOLK BROAD as I can not cruise on something that is NOT.
Hi Sam the city boats mooring may be free now they dont run the trip boats i always turn here it gets very shallow and weedy further on,there are moorings at the quay on the left just before the bridge cant remember the name of the bridge the road goes up to market square. there is a very good pub on other side with a walk way/veranda you may be able to tie up there you couldn't get nearer to the bar then that, plus several wild moorings at various places against park walk way, best avoid Friday, Saturday evenings.John
