Hi All,

I'm after some advice and options for moorings. Northern or Southern broads, preferably not too busy and some sort of facilities - car parking and a toilet somewhere would be a good start.
I'm looking for something on the 'cheaper' end (if that's a word that can be used with anything boat related)

It's for a 20' sailing cruiser.

I also want somewhere to launch it any ideas on that front? I gather it's not as easy as it seems to find a good slip?

Thanks

Plenty of options in the Brundall area if you choose South side which is bit qiueter. Brundall is really pleasant village with plenty of amenities and very handy for trains & beer!

Hi there ,
I seem to recall an old very good member , who had the same as you wanted , if I recall rightly he used to keep he's sailing boat and launch it at martham , ( martham boat hire yard ) , also you could try John at whispering reeds yard at hickling , or even Robert at Sutton stathie boat yard ,
Good luck

Have you thought of joining a sailing club? Horning have moorings just upstream of the Swan, Yare Valley have moorings at Oby, I am sure there are others. Look at www. thegreenbook.org.uk to see contact details for Norfolk and Suffolk boating organisations.
