Hello all , I have had a boat on the Great Ouse for a number of years  but I am struggling to manage locks on my own so planning to move my Carver Riviera 28 to less hilly waters!  Looking for a long term berth/mooring but don't know the best place to start looking. Any suggestions would be appreciated - I live near Cambridge so the further west the better ?

Best regards
Graham

Morning Graham and welcome to the forum. You could make a start by looking at Brundall, close to the A47 and not as far west as Milford Haven!

As always with moorings, a visit in person sometimes yields better results than a phone call. There's a few yards to choose from here.

Hi Graham,
We made the same move about 5 years ago. After the relative peace of the Gt Ouse you would find the North Broads to be very busy, as we did. After 2 years near Stalham we moved to Brundell and haven't looked back.
You could try Paul at Swancraft but I don't know whether or not he has space available at the moment.

Andy

Thanks - I have contacted a couple of marinas in Brundall to check on availability and price and will take it from there.

Best regards
Graham
