MBB & Dev Co staff drive a van from Martham boatyard to Potter bridge and then drive back to the yard, often having to return almost immediately for the next boat that has rung in for pilot assistance.  I have never understood how that makes financial sense - unless the staff are idle at the time.

I replied to another thread thinking it was yours but thankfully my message also makes sense on that thread as well!!  PS I also intended to reply to the other thread!!

Welcome to the Forum and best wishes for your trip - no wonder you are excited.

Just to add on the Northern Broads, places to stay if your first choice isn't an option
Barton Turf next to Cox's boat yard
How Hill, especially quaint with stunning sunsets and good walks
Fleet Dyke (the dyke leading to Walsham Broad)

And in the south Rockland St Mary very nice with the New Inn serving great food

The pace of life down there
suits us

Thanks for the feedback. Some good tips there.
Only 9 days to go now before we set off. I'm not sure how much access to internet I'll have in Norfolk, but I'll post when we're back to let you know how we got on.
