Hi All.

Just came back from our first week afloat on the broads with the wife and our two dogs we could not believe the beauty of this magical waterway we sailed from Thorpe then down to Beccles up the river across Breydon to take in Ranworth, Barton and overnight at st Benets.
The wildlife put on an amazing display for this novice crew including Marsh Harrier, Seal, Oyster catcher, Osprey and at one point we stood 20ft from an Owl box when its tenant took to the sky, our two German shepherds have never been happier discovering the many country walks that they had once we'd moored up.
The first thing the wife bought on our return home was a whistling kettle to remind us of the one on the boat.
I'm so pleased i came across this site because i have a five year plan to own a boat on this beautiful part of the world as we love it so much and all the knowledge and advice i have read already from this forum will profoundly help me in my quest.

Thanks in advance.

Ian.

Hi Ian and welcome to The Forum,

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves and not in the slightest surprised that you will be returning in the future.

Just getting excited myself as I shall be leaving home in three hours heading for Horning to pick up Sun Emblem.

I have reserved a mooring outside The Hotel Wroxham for the first night but will be heading for more remote areas Wednesday morning.

Just hope the weather cheers up a bit. Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...

I did wonder what your title was about -  sorry you will have to get used to our terrible sense of humour.

So pleased you enjoyed and you realise you are hooked for life.
