Not really a new member - I registered on here a few years ago under the name of Mouldy, but I cannot for the life of me remember my login details, but I did find an old post;

My first boating holiday was when I was 13, back in 1969, when my parents and grandparents took me on a Caribbean from FB Wilds for a week in May.  I have spent many weeks there since, but not as many as I would have liked (probably about 25 holidays in all).  I introduced my wife to boating on the Broads in 1987 and it remains a special place to both of us to this day

My wife and I haven't been on the Broads for about seven years, life, two redundancies and other issues have got in the way.  Just over a year ago, we took our son, for a trip on a day boat from Wroxham on his 25th birthday, with his girlfriend.  He spent many holidays with us on the Broads, from when he was 6 until when he was 17 and clearly it brought back loads of memories for him and us, too.  As a result, we booked a week on Royal Commander at the end of September this year and are all looking forward to revisiting some favourite places.

It will be a new experience for his girlfriend, whose only experience of the Broads was the five hours we spent on a sunny Sunday in July last year.

I will try to get round to some kind of holiday report when we get back, with some piccies.

Welcome back, I hope your Daughter in Law loves the Broads as much as the rest of us. I'm sure you will have a great time.
