Hi, We are new to the site as well as the broads. We are coming down from sunny Fleetwood and are booked on Fine Horizon and have some questions.

1) Are there many pubs which allow children age 1 and 2 until closing time, as with taking the kids we want to enjoy ourselves as well.

2) As a family of 6 adults and 2 kids where are the best places to visit as we are leaving from Acle.

Thank You

Hi and welcome.
I don't know about 'until closing time' but all the pubs seem to be fairly kid friendly. The Bridge at Acle and The New Inn at Horning come to mind particularly.
Use the blue search box above for lots of suggestions for family friendly stuff to do.
Also look online at the Broads Authority website, and navigate to their online Broadcaster publication for a great 'What's On' set of info. lots for everyone.

Best wishes,

Pauline

Hi Ian,

Here is a link to the Broadcaster Magazine.

http://www.mpldigital.com/broadcaster/online

I found it better to click on save to download as a PDF as viewing online didn’t seem too great.

I haven’t noticed any pubs that have restrictions on children but I am not the best person to give advice as I have not taken kids in recent years.

There are a couple of nice pubs that I like to visit in Horning (The Ferry Inn& The Swan) also Wroxham I often go to the Hotel Wroxham . This has a great view of Wroxham Bridge that can often be entertaining.

You could follow this link to my web site that provides printable pub maps.

Hello Ian,

Welcome to the forum.
My children have also grown up so we also are not the best people to give advice, but most pubs are family friendly so you should be ok.

If you look at the bottom of the forum page you will see the pub guide, that gives good information on all of the pubs on the Broads and the contact details etc.

Regards
Alan

Hi

Most pubs allow kids in and I've yet to see one that sets a curfew. Norwich may be the one place you have difficulty.  Welcome to the forum.

pubs will tend to let kids stay till about 10 but always best to ask the barperson just to be on the safe side

Thank you all for the quick replies. I'll have a look at the links that you have included and speak to the rest of the gang. Will do a write up about the holiday as we are there.
