Hi there, I thought I should say hi before starting posting. I am norfolk born and bred, originally from the fens but now living just up the road from sunny hunny. It would appear that I have just bought a Leisure 17 sailing boat courtesy of the temptress that is ebay and so will be looking for guidance from you good people

Well hello and welcome to the Forum! From your post I have this mental image of you wondering how on earth you managed to buy a boat in your sleep! I think I more or less managed to do the same thing - but only a share, I couldn't eat a whole one! It proved to be a very good decision to buy a share in a boat, sight unseen, and I hope you have as much fun on yours as we do on ours (even though in our case it's only a set number of weeks each year). Once again, hello and welcome.

Yes it was a bit surreal, I have been looking at boats for a while and watching them go through and wondering if I should have had a punt and this one came up and it seemed like a good price and so I put a bid on at the last minute expecting to be outbid but wasn't. Of course then there was the " oh cr*p what have I done now" moment and the realisation that I now have to sort all the logistics out..but it keeps life interesting

Greg, you might be right but the Sea hawks are generally too nice to be bumping into things with....it's been a while thanks for you welcome guys, we are heading over to Potter Heigham over the weekend to sort out the deal and to get a feel for what needs doing, maybe we will get out in it later in the week...once all the easter madness is done with
