No places to avoid really.

I'm too cream crackered to look up the links, but the mooring question will probably be better answered by other members, and there are some great threads on how to set spring lines etc.

This was a very useful thread about setting spring lines, diagram included.

http://www.the-norfolk-broads.co.uk/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=22&Topic=4124

As Richard says no particular places to avoid but take care when mooring at Yarmouth, Reedham, Burgh Castle, Berney Arms and St Olaves as the tide can run fast. Always come in to moor against the tide and don't try doing a U turn near any of the bridges, again because of the strong current. There are mooring attendants at Reedham and Yarmouth who will help and advise.

Basically whwn mooring at any of the above, leave some slack on the lines, particularly when the tide is falling.

Above all, relax and have fun!!

Oh btw, welcome to the forum  Smile

Howard
