Hi, Stumbled across this forum while researching a route. We have a 4 night cruise starting tomorrow (26th August) on Ruby Gem from Richardson's boat yard. Looking at doing a route to Wroxham and back. Our children are 8 and 10 and normally very physically active! Are there any places on route where they can let off steam? Have read the things to do with children on the Richardson's site, it's more short walks from moorings to parks along the way or a pub with a playground in along the way? Many thanks, Mrs Big Hair

There are swings etc. on the Horning playing field. Bewilderwood, a couple of miles walk from Horning, expensive though.

Hi and welcome keep the crew and skipper safe with the life jackets they provide. Should be worn as ships uniform. Have a great time. Regards Marge and Parge

Unfortunately our car broke down 45mins from the yard and coming from Birmingham with a single trio toe we've had to turn back. Hopefully we'll get to try your suggestions another time. Many thanks for getting back to us Many thanks Bighair

Oh my goodness ! - you got within 45 minutes of your holiday and had to turn back? What a shame there was no alternative, and no doubt at that late stage you were unable to cancel and obtain any sort of refund? Hope the car made the journey back home ok after you turned back. Sorry your family missed out, hope you get another trip sorted. Karen

Easy walk there maybe, but after spending the day with a 6 year old saying come on Granddad it's a hell of a long way back!
