I can def say with some certainty that Ranworth staithe gets  full at the weekend during October half term. I have seen it every year for the ten years since we have kept our own boat on the private moorings. There is a school trip which has come here for many years and they are spread out over a fair few boats. And they always come to Ranworth at the weekend. It is of course possible that eventually, that plan will change, but I can only tell you what has happened thus far as my crystal ball isn't very reliable at the moment  Playful Wink

If you are trying to moor in a tight ish spot just ensure a crew member pulls the dinghy round to the front of the boat if you are going in astern (backwards to a stern only mooring such as Ranworth) or to the other side if you are going into a side on mooring.

Steve mentioned life jackets, and I should have too. An absolute must.

Take care, and enjoy the trip - you may seriously get bitten by the bug!

Hi lavajelly

Regarding live jackets I assume hat you are aware that on holiday boats the life jackets are provided for you but often you will just be asked what sizes you require small medium large etc

I would suggest that each of your party try on the jackets for size at the boatyard to ensure they are the correct size and keep them where you know whose is whose.

Have a great holiday. Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...
