Hi to all you forum members, Im Kev and new to boating but fancy having a go on the broads so me and the wife have booked a week in July on a craft from Brinks, The thing is the boat has no gas hob just electric hot plates I was wandering if I could boil a kettle while we are underway (sorry may be a silly question) I know I can plug in to mains power when I am moored (if there is one)really looking foword to are week Smile

Not a silly question at all.

I suspect that your boat will have some serious voltage inverters built-in to allow you to use your electric hot plates anywhere on the system. It will, most likely, also have its own built-in generator. You certainly won't need to be hooked up to shore power to use the hotplates.
