Hi Guys,

My Girlfriend and I will be taking Topliner 3 from Barnes at Wroxham on Saturday for 7 nights. I'm really looking forward to chilling out with cold beers and (hopefully) warm sunshine!

Its out first time on anything other than a day boat and I am feeling the excitment and nerves in equal measure!!

If any of you are on the broad next week and see us be sure to give us a wave or come over for a chat!

Cheers
Darren

Hello Darren,

Welcome to the formum.

We are not on the boat until the end of October but if you do get to the Southern Broads you may see one of our other owners on the boat.

Being as this is your first time on the Broads it maybe best to stick to the Northern Rivers and Broads.

Mud weighting in Salhouse, Malthouse, and South Walsham Broads is recommended, plenty of pubs to moor at, see the section at the bottom of the forum page for the details of all of the pubs.

Take it nice and steady and enjoy yourselves.

Regards
Alan

Hi Darren

Welcome to the broads

We pick our boat back up ' Juss Duit', after a bit of work on Saturday and will be cruising the northern broads until Tuesday. We will keep an eye out for you. I'm sure you will enjoy it, the weather forecast is reasonable.

Hello and welcome – good to see you have the excitement, but leave the nerves when you leave home for Norfolk.

I think the boat you’ve booked has a great sense of space inside, and while quirky in looks externally these types of boats are ease to get on and off making mooring easier.

There is tones of route ideas if you search the forum from others who have given their input – what I would say as it is your first time is don’t rush and soak it all up.  If it was me, after taking over the boat I’d head to Horning and go to one of the three pubs – or hell why not do all three and work in a little crawl lol.  It is not far away to go and will mean you can settle in and get used to things.

Have a great time!
