Good idea Richard!

Depends on whether one is on a hire boat, owned boat or syndicate owned boat, but can I mention (depending on time of year):

Lifejackets

Fold up chairs for lazing on the bank in the sun while eating a bit of lunch at a "wild" mooring.

A small wok - fabulous for stir fries, scrambled eggs and just as a good frying pan.

Oil for cooking, stock cubes, your favourite tea and coffee, bottle of sloe gin.

Hot water bottles in season.

Car type mobile phone charger, or 13amp normal one if suitable for boat.

Camera charger.

And if one has a canine friend, canine lifejacket, poo bags, giant corkscrew, food, food and water bowls, dog towels, treats, lead of course.

Don't forget to take a mallet for the rhond anchors if on a hire boat
as the yards don't supply them

A jar or tube of Colmans English Mustard , all the pubs/restaurants
only ever offer you the cheap tasteless sachets , ridiculous I know
considering the proximity to Colmans!!

Also as opposed to Fairy Liquid should take Ecouver or some other
variation of "Eco-Friendly" washing up liquid.

And finally a good bottle or two of malt whiskey ( or malt whisky )

no traffic, no fumes, no traffic wardens.......bliss!!
