We use one of these. Seems to work well everywhere we have been and is relatively compact.
Good value too at a touch under £27.

Old enough to know better.

Just a quick up date and thank you for all your help and advice. I thought there must be a reason why the aerial would not work, I have seen the same type on many hire boats and they receive good receptions? At the end of the day they are only bits of alloy bolted together. We noticed the cable was a bit stiff. All seemed ok but it was old and did not have the shielding that digital stuff comes with. Changed the cable, and away it went picking 134 channels.

I will stick with this for now and see how we get on as we only seem to use the dam thing once every 3 to 4 years.

Thanks to my Bro for donating the new cable for the aerial. Any one that has an old aerial that seems not to work, it is worth trying a new cable and give it a go before rushing out to by a new one.
