I'm not worrying and I do get on with my business. I told you a NO in my first response and gave you options, you didn't like those options so asked again. Again I told you what you were looking for but, again, you decided to ignore my advice.

As other members will tell you, I do provide free advice whenever I can. The advice I do provide will, of course, be within the law. That is something you are asking others not to be with your first post.

Please, tell me what there is to be "weary of" with the latest MS updates for Windows 10, especially where Google Chrome is concerned. I have had the update on two laptops in my house for a good month and we have found no issues yet. I'm using Chrome right now.

I've had my business for 15 and a half years now, I do like to keep within the law, I find it easier than looking over my shoulder all the time.

Gary.

Why the warning giving you the chance not to update?

I did a system restore and dumped the update... Plus I found the file I seek so all is well...

I think the article is scaremongering. I have the update on 3 machines including one with an SSD and one with data on a separate drive. No problems at all.
I see the update quite a lot at Ludham Computer Club and I have not found any of the issues mentioned so far.
The article is probably out of date and the problem has been fixed

You maybe right Nigel... What's the thought about Microsoft possibly requiring a subscription to use their operating system as the now do with Word 365 ?

Come on, it's only fair that you answer questions that were asked too.

You want to help people, back up your "weary of" statement with fact please.

It's a possibility, but there is an alternative to Office 365 which is paid for annually. Cost for 365 is approx £80 per year for a licence that covers 5 devices. Not bad really when you break it down.

I've got it for myself, wife and 2 boys. £20 per year each and the software is always up to date. IMO it's a no-brainer.

You can, if you want, but MS Office 2016 for a one off fee. Obviously, Office 2016 will be Office 2016, Office 365 updates to the latest edition on the market at that time.
