Hi Andy,

I regularly use a laptop on boats that have an inverter or shore power with no probs at all.

If the boat has an inverter I normally keep the battery charged whilst cruising.

The only prob I have is a lack of areas with a decent connection for internet access using my Vodafone dongle. Indifferent

Kind Regards
Alan...

We also use a 3 mifi and we have never had any problems with it whatsoever.    We charged our laptop using the 12 v cigarette lighter socket.   We charged all of our mobiles , camera etc the same way.    You dont need 240 all of the time.   What we used to do is charge anything which needed charging while travelling each day.

Anything to preserve the batteries of the boat.
