The seller seems to be well-established and, if someone wants their own private mooring, it's a snip.

Not enough detail in the add but I would be very interested to see how the BA would react to someone applying for PP for a recreational mooring. Colin

The photo used in the ad has obviously been heavily manipulated to take out all the boats that have been moored along there since 1922

It would be interesting to know just where, on that picture, the mooring is? I could be, almost, tempted if all the details showed access, parking etc. £650 would be a steal. Colin

I suspect someone is going to fall foul of eBay. Exactly what is being offered? A boat mooring? if so how long, where and with what access and facilities? On the basis it is a buy it now price or make an offer would suggest it will not go for more than £650. On the other hand if it is a piece of quay heading without planning permission to moor a boat, then it is not a boat mooring. The seller is well established. Is it Mr Woods? Does he have Scottish heritage?

I can't see the Ebayer being Mr Wood. Previous sales and purchases not his style and as for Scotish heritage, unlikely but always beware the red herring! Still think that if this is legit, it's a bargain. Oh god, I'm sounding like an estate agent. Commission would be nice Colin

Hmmm, I don't think I'll put in an offer. The photos are date-stamped 2008.

I really hope this is just a wind-up. If the seller is Mr Wood he's giving the BA yet another reason not to accept any application he might submit.

I've just heard that the eBay seller, in answer to the question, "Is it a residential mooring?", replied, "Yes, it can be." Nice one, just 9 days too late.

Serious question, would you be able to moor a private boat there if you owned the land without getting planning consent to do so? Dave
