Does anyone know where (today) I can get an ANL type fuse holder (pref GANL-1) and a fuse rated for 300amps (GANL300A) ?

I want to fit my inverter this afternoon and although I dont need these to test it I do need these for safe operation.

I've tried Norfolk Marine in Wroxham and they do them usually but dont have any fuse holders in stock and do not have the right amp fuse either.

Suggestions please as to where else I could try ?

Give Brian Ward's a ring in Brundell or maybe any City Electrical branch near you.

Thanks Bill....just phoned Brian Ward's.

They have the fuse I need but not the fuse holder...but they are getting some in on Thursday so thats good enough.

They have alternatives but recommended I wait for the Sterling ones as they are far superior apparently.

Will test it today briefly without fuse and holder and will fit them when I get them on Thursday pm/Friday am.
As long as I don't test it with a faulty appliance it should be OK.

Just as an update....the inverter test worked fine.

Ebay bargain of the year !! Smile

Will put the fuse holder and fuse in-line when I get them tomorrow.

Still needs a real stress test as I'm not sure what it'll do to the batteries when used in anger.
(It's a constant 1800watt inverter with a max of 2600watts)
