When on the Northern Broads I always use Boulter Marine, who are about the cheapest people I know. It was about 32p a litre at the weekend.

Anyone know a good cheap place on the Southern broads?

I certainly don't that price is really good because it is the same as I can buy it at and I'm trying to recover the cost of £5000 that DEFRA instisted I spent on new tanks last year. Gasoil prices have doubled since late last season and whilst white derv has come down a bit 'Red' is maintaining high prices it is said because of Chinese buying.

You don't have to tell us anything my Brother in Law has a boat on the upper Thames  Bill...

I always thought that Boulters were cheap and fill up when ever I'm on the Northern rivers, but as the boat is moored on the South and will probably stay South during the height of the season, I will need to purchase diesel on the Southern side. Brooms sounds quite reasonable.

Although I like to visit Loddon quite frequently, so may well stop on route.

I think it's becomming well known that the best place for Diesel on the northern rivers is Russell Marine at South Walsham. They have a fair system of pricing which is based on their wholesale price plus their mark-up. We filled up about three weeks ago at 36p/L. I've known it be as low as 32p/L.

90p - that's more than I pay at the pumps for the car (86.9p at the moment at Sainsburys) - admittedly I haven't tried pulling a wagon with the car Evil Grin
