Hi there

Was wondering if anyone knows which type and how much oil to put in the air filter. Its quite shallow and has a felt filter in the base.

Many thanks

EC

Hi EC It doesn't have oil in it, remove felt or foam wash wire wool in paraffin then dip in 20 sae oil let it drain replace wire mesh clean felt or foam DRY ie blow with air line or vac, reassemble then replace on manifold, its not a oil bath filter its more a air silencer you don't get any dust in boat engine room/box but you do want the inlet quirt if you don't believe me start up without it fitted(wont do any harm) you will hear what i mean, later air filters/silencers have a paper element which is replaced periodically. If no paraffin or oil just knock and vac the mesh to remove any dirt/dust then replace wont harm the engine if not washed and oiled this is more for road going vehicles. John
