Has anybody had or got one of these Chinese diesel heaters (type similar to the Eberspacher), we just cant believe that at a cost of £120 they can be reliable and safe!!
We are looking for a new heater, to replace our knackered (beyond repair)old Eberspacher.

There is a facebook page dedicated to this, Chinese Diesel air heaters, it has hundreds of pages pointing out faults pitfalls and solutions. Plus reviews and information on fitting and repair. Well worth reading if you are considering buying.

if it is to be it is up to me.

Hi

Forum member Lord Paul has a YouTube channel on which he has one of these that he setup.

No doubt Lord Paul will also reply to this thread but in the meantime here's the link to his YouTube page (there are three videos):-

I have purchased two.
One 5kw for my boat and a 2kw for my workshow / office.

Been faultless  all the time I have used them.
A straight swop from by old Eberspacher on board.
The time clock has two on / off timers and the temp controller is very good.

Can not speak too highly of them.
A new one is lass cost than a Eberspacher service..

I cruise on THE NORFOLK BROAD as I can not cruise on something that is NOT.

We replaced our heater last year with an Eberspacher at a cost of circa £2,000.  We discovered these chinese jobs and received recommendations from an HGV driver but chickened out because we didn't want to dice with safety and our perception was we'd struggle to find somebody to fit it.

Lord Paul's experiment was underway but no reports on reliability
