Welcome to the madhouse, there will be Freeman owners and Ex Freeman owners a plenty who will be able to advise you on how best to get the Max out of the Broads.  Buying a forum burgee to go alongside your Freeman one might be an idea to get you recognised>   Playful

'Evening, Freemanmad/Graham - and one more welcome to the Forum  Smile .

Two members who come to mind re advice on owning a Freeman are FreemanBattyBat ( Derek ) and ncsl ( Lord Paul ). If they don't pick up on your thread, drop either or both a pm and I'm certain they'll only be too pleased to help.

Also, FreemanBattyBat has this thread running, which may be of interest:

Hi, I had a Freeman 23 - smaller than the 26.

Not sure of the height of the 26, but I had a hard top on my 23 and use to get under Wroxham - somethins a bit tight.
This video was taken at near high tide, not sure of the clearance now but was a bit tight.

Hi Freemanmad !!
Although I don't own a 26 there are several discussions re going under the Broads bridges on the Forum ( needs to register to see the full content)
or the Facebook page

http://freeman-cruisers.forumotion.co.uk

https://m.facebook.com/groups/36807066957?ref=bookmarks

The general consensus is you will need to fold your screen down on a 26 for some of the low airdraft bridges, and if you have a hard top probably not an easy option.

I will find some tips/posts and add later

Welcome to the wonderful world of Freeman ownership !!
Derek
