Thanks for that, we thought that was the case, but a friend had heard the opposite so I just wanted to check!

Herbert Woods let you moor for a fee we have used them even Barnes and Royalls in worxham but they all normally charge so long as they space. There maybe others as well. The one that has a sign to say no is faircraft in wroxham others you would have to ask.

Some will let private boats moor for a fee. I believe Barns and Herbert Woods for instance do this.

Richardsons let privateers moor at Stalham, although common sense should be applied and busy times avoided. Cheers

Drl marine services at womack water let you moor during the week (4£)but have to move by 9am Friday good moorings and only 50p more than parish staithe and a better view down river, this is a fairly new service you couldn't moor there before even if you was a hire boat they are not in the federation

I always enjoy dropping in at Martham Boats but apart from that I can't think of a less appealing mooring spot than a hire boatyard! Handy for service or advice, but also risky spots to moor for those of us who cherish our paintwork or gel coat.

rather contradictory you do or you don't,it doesn't answer the original question,i get the impression it may be in an emergency as in late in the day,not every boat hirer can afford to buy a boat and i am sure the majority dont want to damage other boats
