I will soon need to have some cushions mad up for a newly constructed c shaped dinette.
Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced marine upholsterer?
Thanks

Laurie

Jack did ours and we are very pleased with his work and he was reasonable too.   He cam be located at Moonfleet or his home phone number is 01457 85 4922 or mobile number 07813213633.    He is a nice chap.   He is not employed by Moonfleet it is just that his boat is moored there.   Very obliging and will send you samples.

I agree Jack was very helpful and did an excellent job when we needed an akward shaped cushion making.
The person he has to make the covers must have been in the trade for many years so you get quality, Regards Colin

He did a complete reupholstering job for me - very pleased!

I've spent most of my money on Women, boats and beer - the rest I needlessly squandered.

I have to say that I was very satisfied with the work that Peter Jeckells did on Water Rail.

I explained I had an exceptionally tight budget but needed to make the boat easy to sleep on. He found some old fabric that had been around for awhile that resembled that found on an old railway carriage which was ideal for a vintage boat.  He came over did the measurements and despite what some people might say everything fits perfectly and it has transformed Water Rail.

I couldn't be more pleased - obviously this wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Jack did the whole lot on 'B.A' and that was new everything from the foam matresses to the coverings even the helms chair.  I would use him again.

Cost? Why a “marine upholsterer”? As a price comparison, Haven Upholstery in Great Yarmouth re-upholstered my previous boat’s v-bunk, fill-in pieces and back-rests by using the old foam as a pattern, glued high-density foam to both sides for a more comfortable sleep, and covered them with a heavy duty cloth for two hundred and ninety quid. They threw in a stitch-weld to a ripped vinyl tonneau cover, too.
