I had someone working on my bounty cruiser which has a BMC 1700 engine, and they have walked off with the part of the air filter that bolts onto the engine.
Its a metal plate with with one big hole for the intake and two holes either side for the fixings.
The part that i have is circular in shape with a circular grill.
Does anyone know where i can get a replacement?

Thanks in advance.

have a word with Jason at ludham bridge boatyard, or calcut boats who still make the engine, or you should be able to pick one up from a good motor factors

This is a picture of it and apparently its an original sherpa filter.
Calcutt boats don't do it and the other place was a bit dear although he said he might get a few in to keep the price down.
Thanks for the replies

Ive  been asked for this item several times in the past, but I keep
forgetting to order some extra in for stock!
I dont think I will have a second hand one as ive sold most of the
BMC1.5's i had

So I will check into the different manufacturers and will order some
extra for stock during the next few days. If you need a new one I will
then have one ready.

All the best

jason

i went to moss newfoundland road, bristol got a pancake air filter for £12. It needed a slight adaptation and went on fine.
