I need a little help. I have spent the last hour or two now searching the net for a couple of these.

They are the door lock covers which hinge upwards allowing the square peg to unlock the door - I think they are called "escutcheon's" but can't find any in white, or just off white colour.

These particular ones are 40mm wide and 50mm tall.

Here is a picture - ignore the pen sticking out, I did this just to show how it works..

I'm really stuck on this and would really appreciate it if anyone knew where I could get them preferably on the net.

they do seem to be a bit elusive seem to be every colour or type apart from square plastic
bit of a long shot but if you live near a caravan showroom where they have a shop that could be worth a try they seem to have all sorts of bits 'n' bobs in those places you might find one take yours with you

beauty is in the eye of the beerholder

Thanks for the reply Dave.

After posting the original message thats where I started looking on the net with no joy...

Its really annoying - its one of those parts that you see about, but when you actually want one you can't find it !!!

I'll continue the search - and if anyone has any good ideas, please let me know !!

PS. It has to be the same as the original as it is located on a part of the boat that you walk past and anything that sticks out further could be caught..

I think that I would contact the builder of your boat.

Jenny Morgan,
A vane, a boat, but not a bird.

The Broads, not a National Park, thankfully.

Might be able to help. Then there is the option of physically taking the unit to the chandlers, they might be able to point you in the right direction. Boat Jumbles - I'll have a look today for you at the Carlton Towers venue.
Is there any identifying marks/names on the back of the unit? if so - google it.

Hope this helps, I know from first hand experience just how frustrating searching can be, makes it all the more worth while when you do find the item though

Chandlers and caravan dealers often use a wholesale supplier who has a catalogue, Burden Group for caravan/camping and Mark Dowland for marine.

You can access their on-line catalogues through www.unipartleisure.com or www.burdengroup.com (they are both part of Unipart.

Well I went to Carlton towers and had a look round for you - nowt.  The Newark Boat Jumble however is far far bigger (a lot of it undercover) so you may well have better luck there.
