Just over a week ago, I placed and order on-line, with Marine Mega Store Ltd, paying for First Class postal delivery. My Credit Card was debited on the same day, but as yet the item ordered has not been recieved. Two e-mails to them have so far not produced a repsonse. On telephoning them, you are greeted with a recorded annoncement saying that "this call will cost 10P per minute". You are then transferred to a Call Centre, where you have to listen to a lot more recorded 'waffle' (and all at 10P per min). At this point I put the phone down. Today I contacted the Credit Card company, who are now going to raise it as a dispute with Marine Mega Store. Most reputable companies, will not debit your card until they depatch goods. Not the case with Marine Mega Store it would seem. This is the first time that I have dealt with this company, and be assured it will be the last Dave

I had exactly the same problem when i used them a couple of years ago. I get the impression that nothing is kept instock, and all items are placed on back order with suppliers - hence the huge delay waiting for delivery. When the part i ordered eventually arrived, it was incorrect, so i then spent another two weeks waiting for my refund :o( Have never touched them since.

Dave, I don't know if you're using Firefox as your browser, but, if you are, add WOT to it. It's a free Firefox add-on that alerts you to sites that have a poor reputation. Marine Megastore regularly comes high up on search engine listings, but WOT alerts you to the site's poor vendor reputation. WOT prevented me making a similar mistake.

A very well-timed warning, Dave thank you. I was considering placing an order with this company only yesterday! Needless to say, I will not be availing myself of their "services" now. I owe you a beer or three...
