After 4 days out on our boat this week, it was of course necessary to get the loo pumped out. It was to my suprise that I got charged £15 for one loo. This does, to say the least, seem a bit expensive.

That does sound pricey, where did you have the pumpout?

hi there , we keep our boat at Stalham and we use Sutton Stathie boatyard , Robert charges £9.00 for 1 loo or £14.00 for 2 loo's , does a througher job with the pump out , very good service there , even gives you a card that you get stamped ,after the 9th stamp on your card you get a free pump out ! cheers

Well that's good to know. As berth holders we pay £10 per loo at Richardsons. They won't do pump outs on a Saturday however for any other boats other than their own hire fleet, and only just discovered however that come November they close their pump out facilities until the spring. Does Roberts place do pump out facilities all year round? and are there any restrictions ref Saturdays? - Griff

when I went to Sutton boat yard for some diesel the other week they told my dad they were open all winter but week days only and not weekends.

If you were the couple with the flowers (Birthday????) then it was us. With the tide flow it was not easy, we all made a bit of a hash. At least we enjoyed some good weather.
