I'm trying to get some recommendations from members who have personal experience of the quality of upholsterers in the Norfolk area.  I am looking to have new seat cushions made for my boat, and have heard a few horror stories along the way.

Any advice on good quality craftsmen/women?

There's a guy called Gerry that moors up at Broadsedge marina, he does it for a living. Think their boat is called " Nautical but nice".

He's re-done all his own boat,so one look should give you a fair indication of the level of work that he can produce.

If truly high quality is what you seek, try Moores at Brooms.  First class, from experience.

We had Jack who we found at Moonfleet.  He did a very good job and the quality of his workmanship was excellent.   We were a bit doubtful and not having had any work done like this before but Jack was very good.  Sent us lots of samples , we lived in Kent at the time and what he said he would he did.  We are very pleased.

Hi Hylander,

Seeing as our home port is now Stalham (AT LAST) and we are in need of completley new upholstery throughout including new foam etc

Jack is local to Stalham, on your reccommendation I passed his name under the nose of John Williams, got the nod off J.W so on the the strength of that I have rang Jack today.

He sounded like he knew what he was on about and was easy to talk to on the phone.  We are therefore meeting him this coming Saturday for a quote / measure up etc

I'll keep you all posted as to how we get on  -  Griff

One of these decades we WILL finish Broad Ambition !!
