We have just had a wonderful week on Gainsborough Girl from Summercraft and I have to say how immaculate she was turned out.  Like the first poster we too commented on how the Summercraft fleet looked to be in nearly new even though I knew that ours was 7 years old.

The hand over was good too.  I'd not been for a few years so I asked to be treated as a first timer.  Their staff mamber was very professional without making me look even more of a novice than I was and had some good banter with us.

To cap it all when I mentioned to Sue that she's said she would try and provide some cushions for the deck seating she promptly dispatched Brian to get them off their personal garden loungers.

Excellent service.  10 our of 10 from me!

Just returned from a wonderful week on Gardenia Girl (have posted details on holiday tales)  Just wanted to add my comments on this thread.  I have hired in the past from Moores who I think are a really good yard and only hired from Summercraft because the Moores boat I wanted wasn't available.  Well that was my good luck because the Summercraft boat and yard were even better.  I will definately use this yard in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Same as sadly had to leave Glamour Girl on Friday after 11 glorious nights, the boat was immaculate (felt very guilty getting bream slim on the boat)although when you receive such a clean boat you make the extra effort to clean it and keep it clean, and with such a good finish on the paint work this is easier and a pleasure, as for the boat yard all the people there were great and very helpful will definitely use Summercraft again. 10 out 10 for me

Kindest Regards Lynn & Gilly

Like Lynne & Gilly we have just had the week after them on Glamour Girl. Our first time on the broads. I had been on canals previously but not my wife and two children.
The boat was spotless when we took over on the Friday. Very comfortable with plenty of storage space. For a 38 footer, you could turn it on a sixpence. The raised rear steering position was excellent too for viewing in front and behind ( for those impatient cruisers who feel 5/6mph is too slow and always want to overtake you on a narrow bend).
The fuel comsumption was very good using about £20 worth of diesel for the week. We were off exploring at 8am every morning until around 3pm at the earliest.
We were kindly shown around some boats at two other yards. One of them being Herbert Woods. The boats were also clean here but did not have the little touches of homeleness that made you feel cosy.Herbert Woods staff were very helpful though and went out of their way to talk to us and show us round.
The funny thing is, for the last four months I have been boring the wife and kids about boating, but by the end of the week they didn't want leave the boat.I will be booking with Summercraft next year but this time it will be for two weeks.
