We rung up to book a boat for mid July in the hope the lockdown would be relaxed by then..The lady seemed nervous on the phone, but said yes it was available, but would only pencil our booking in, she wouldn't even take a deposit..I hope i'm wrong, but can't help thinking they might be struggling.

To be honest , can you really blame them or any other holiday business for being like that ? July to me is still a bit to close, My own thoughts on holidays / breaks is that when this lockdown eases and threat level is low ,holidays may go ahead in august into september , october , in fact holiday businesses could put back or delay there winter closeure ( end october )to extend bring in the money  if safe

1 would imagine that most of the smaller Broads yards are worried about their future, but it sounds to me that Pacific were living up to their reputation of being a honest, caring company by not taking your money for a holiday date that is still very doubtful.
They have pencilled you in so I am sure if they can offer you the boat on the date you require, they will be in touch with you.

I agree with the last post.    They are a very good family company and are really looking after you and your pennies.   If only we had a crystal ball we could all know exactly when to book and when not to.   By the way if anyone has a crystal ball can they let us know the Lottery numbers for Saturday please?

I’m sure everyone is struggling to some degree or other and Pacific have the right to be cautious if only at least to provide the best for their customers. Given the limited info from government they cannot make any promises and can only deal with fact. We can hopefully  do the same. Have hired from this family before and are reliable and genuine .

Second that Hedgehog, I have hired a couple of their boats and have another pending later this year  which I dearly hope takes place. Great yard and very pleasant helpful folk indeed.
