Yes,a couple of years ago. Generally a very nice boat and in very good condition. BUT... The rear cabin is the smallest and most claustrophobic I have ever been in. Other boats of this style I have hired used all the space to the rear of the boat for this cabin. What is not shown on the plan is that there is a large cupboard immediately on the right as you enter the boat which uses up a lot of the available space. You can see the door to it in one of their gallery photos. This means that the bathroom is further forward than usual and so reduces the cabin area. The "corridor" between the side of the bed and the interior wall is so narrow that you have to walk sideways.
Thank you for the info, don’t suppose you have had a look on sun emblem.
We have Gracious booked for October, unfortunately when we did oct last year and feb this year we couldn’t get under Ludham bridge from the Craft we had from nbd.
We have Gracious Emblem on 10th Oct. Should of had it this week. The website doesn’t give the Air Draft but I assume it is 8ft 4Ins. I had a look on it while it was being fitted out. Looked quite impressive. All 240v.
If Gracious is 8'4" then that's worse than the biggest boats from NBD (8' 2"), so you're no better off. Why not go for one of their 7'0" craft such as Fair Majesty or Fair Chancellor?
We have had Tanzanite Emblem a few times. We found it to be a nice comfortable boat (Privately owned prior to being put into the hire fleet.) Centre cockpit with electric winch on the canopy. The only problem I find with sliding canopies they can get a bit draughty early or late in the season. No problem with bridge heights 2 Cabins, 2 En suit toilets. Raised seating on the opposite side to the helm. Couldn’t fault it really.
I agree with the comments about Tanzanite Emblem, one of the best boats we have ever been on. I haven't been on Star Emblem but if it is like the other boats at Ferry Marina it will be a lovely boat I'm sure.
