Hi all   Me and the mrs are looking to spend a week on the broads mid October for the first time.
We are in our 50s and are thinking of a bathtub style boat read the views are probably not the best from this dtyle of boat but it’s simply for ease of getting on and off for the mrs I’m guessing mid October can get chilly so can anyone reccomend such a boat that has temperature controlled  heating rather than one that’s simply heat full blast or not at all don’t mind an older boat as long as it warm. Would like to set off from Stalham

Many thanks
Paul and Vanessa

Richardsons have a few modern style one level boats have a look on their site, don't think there are many yards left at Stalham to choose from

Good morning and welcome to the forum. I agree with Steve a more modern single level cruiser would be the way to go. For example the Swan Reflection from Richardsons, boats like these tend to have a lowered stern which makes getting on and off very easy. They also have thermostatically controlled heating.

Depends on your budget, if you can stretch it a little bit I would look what Brooms have to offer. New boats, very much weather proof and programable heating. The are also very easy to get on and off.

Hi and welcome Paul and Vanessa

I have often hired Swan Roamer from Swancraft which I found to be real luxury for two. The boat is now part of Richardson's fleet based at Stalham. Personally I prefer these Bath Tubs as they are all one floor level, less or no banging of heads and often a better layout feeling more spacious. Talking of bath tubs Roamer also has a whirlpool bath. I favour a nice relaxing bath opposed to a shower. Many shower areas are rather compact. Unlike myself who often gets stuck to the shower curtain. LOL

Roamer has a comfortable luxurious interior with plenty of drawers and hanging space, nice warm heating (including the bathroom) and a walk round bed so you don’t have to scramble over your partner to get in and out. She also has a split sliding roof and a bow thruster for ease of handling.

Here is a link to Swan Roamer. Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...
