We've decided this style will be the best choice of boat for us. Barns Brinkraft is the only boatyard I've been able to find that hires these boats. There must be others; I google 'Topliner' and Brinks is the only result I get. I'm assuming Topliner is the boats name. Can anybody tell me what type of boat this is; even better if you could point me in the right direction of different boatyards.
Thanks in advance Phil

Barnes are the only yard who hire these boats out as has already been confirmed.
They were built and were exclusive to a boatyard called Topcraft on Oulton Broad which subsequently ceased operations 2 or 3 years ago. Barnes purchased the boats from them at that time.
Reading your views on your first time afloat I would just like to reassure you that a boating holiday is well suited to those who like a quieter life (on occasions). My wife is also petite and we manage moorings at all points of the Broads including Yarmouth. I think the advice to stay north of Acle is good for your first experience. Above this point you will not have more than a foot or so in height to step onto shore. Once you see it in the flesh you will see you were imagining obstacles which do not actually exist. Prepare to be bewitched!
The Topliners were originally built to take your own caravan, If you look at the photo you'll seen where the joins are either side on the stern, that used to allow the stern centre section to drop down. Sadly the economics didn't work out as you were paying almost as much to hire the boat with your caravan as a normal hire. There few were built originally and they were converted to the format shown.
