When booking a boating holiday through the likes of Hoseasons do you take their insurance? if not is there an alternative that has better or even equivalent cover for a boating holiday?

SoundLamp hello and welcome,

I do not take out Hoseasons personal insurance. I only pay the compulsory boat damage waiver.  I am in no way suggesting that you nor anyone else should not take this insurance I may be wrong not to do so. It is just my own personal choice.

Kind Regards

A travel company's insurance would normally cover
you for a number of eventuality. Last minute
cancellation, get you home in the event of
illness, etc.
My advice would be look into what you are paying
Some years ago I took a small jet from a RAF base
to Crete with a three person medical team to
bring back a young man who had had a scooter
accident. The cost in those days was in excess of
£55000 all payed for by Amex travel insurance.

Edit to say: That would have bought a house then
in SE England.

Captain Howe.

The Eagle may soar majestic,
but you don't suck a Stoat
into your jet engines.
Please leave the water and
banks as you would wish to
find them.
