Hi all not been on for a while posting but reading still anyway, Parents have agreed to join us for a Boat holiday again this year towards the end of July, Normally we have hired from Royalls and Silverline in the past but the cash pot will be lower for a late july cruise this year.

Anyone got any ideas for a boat in the lower budget range of about £900 for a week. with the same standards as the yards mentioned

Give pacific cruisers a try.

In my humble experience you wont find or do better and their customer service is superb. They should be able to meet your budget.

Give Maffetts a look. Great service at a very good price. Search Maffetts Cruisers on Google. As mentioned Richardsons are also good.

Try martham boats.. we hired with them a few years back and I'm sure "Janet" was less than £900 for a week. Plus being above potter ham is nice. Although the boats are basic they make a lovely change.. in 8 years of hiring, marthams was the best hire boat we had..

Tony hi,
I've never hired from Sanderson Marine but I see they have several boats under £900 for the end of July.

Kind Regards

Martham boats are lovely but VERY basic, and ,I think, overpriced. The showers and lavatories do not meet most peoples idea of acceptable facilities, but if your guests are prepared to compromise, then go for it.  Otherwise, I would recommend Richardsons - they have a wide range of boats to choose from and their customer service is second to none.

pssst, don't tell everyone but check out Pacific's new Diamond.

Diamond

In high season she's priced at £995, about £250 - £300 lower than similar boats from other yards, plus that price includes Damage Waiver, Parking, Prop Cover - all those little extras that other yards rip you off! The only extra is the fuel you use.

She's a nice modern boat, will be impeccably maintained and presented as all Pacific's boats are, and being new to the fleet there is still good availability for high season, but don't wait too long. Once word gets out she'll soon book up.

Loddon makes an ideal start point for your boating holiday, easy access to Breydon Water and the Northern Rivers, Head down to Oulton, Beccles and Geldeson (Diamond will pass under beccles Bridge!) Or up to Brundall and Norwich.

Diamond is an excellent choice, ive got it booked for easter so will update pics etc, you wont go wrong with pacific, as I said / say their the best, very competetive pricing and outstanding service.

Check out royal oak and then check out pacific diamond, same boat, big price difference!
