I have a 20 month and 5 year old and have used centre cockpit and dual steer and my personal preference would be dual steer.
The downside of centre cockpits for little ones is that they easily climb up onto the sofa and throw things over the side! In summer it occasionally gets hot and sunny and there is no where to hide the little one from the sun. There are also normally steps at both ends of the saloon.
With a dual steer you can either leave the children down below or take them up stairs and take the obvious precautions.
If it was me-Fair Admiral
Also look at Moon Emblem which is dual steer and has a sliding roof but not as new as the boats you are looking at.

I completely agree with Matt. Moon Emblem would be a good choice - children safely playing inside while you enjoy the fresh air, or on nice days pull the roof back. Has the added advantage that if you've got a cross-wind you can just open the down wind half of the roof! Also low air draught for bridges. Herbert Woods have two Beam of Lights of the same design.
You should note that I'm heavily biased 
But if you want a newer boat then it would be dual steer for me.

I see merit in both styles at present, again first hand experience is always good!

Well after all that we have ended up booking 'Diamond Emblem'.
From the feedback we had Ferry Marina sounds like a very good yard and the boat has some serious pluses for us. One is the level floor throughout. My youngest daughter, who is 18th months old, is very good at hitting everything and falling down everything, so it sounds good to us. I think we will look at some harnesses for the kids when up on deck, plus 4 pairs of eyes on them at every minute, ha ha!
If anyone has had any experiences on the boat, please let me know, and any images.

Check with Ferry before you go that they have suitable lifejackets for the small ones. Whilst they have many sizes at that age it is crucial they are sized correctly and if they dont then invest in some for them. A small price to pay for a life!

I have been coming on the broads for 32 years, starting when i was around 12 weeks old. When my sister and I were toddlers, it was a case of us always being harnessed to the sailing boat.
It sill surprises me now how many parents you cruise past and they are letting their children run over the boat as if it is a play area, I always get the sick feeling in my stomach.
