Well, someone was right. "Royal Stuart" is already booked for the first week in september NEXT year! And we thought we booked early.
After the "Rapide" experience we didn't want to go with Alphacraft again just yet. One of our crew wants a walk round bed so we searched and searched and eventually have booked "Reflecting Light" from Herbert Woods.
Anyone any experience of this boat? I know there are varying opinions about this yard and it seems the newer boats are the better bet. We've got our proverbials crossed on this one.

I saw Reflecting Light a couple of weeks ago and she looked immaculate....this was on the sixth day of our cruise so i don't know if her crew was just very fastidious or if she was on a Thursday-Thursday or short break hire.

Good all-round boats, that class.

I'm also happy to say it isn't US that's got Royal Stuart for that week.....four months earlier we have though! Hurrah!

Hi Trevor,
I've had Reflecting Light before, although some years ago, and it was a very good boat. If my memory serves me correctly it's similar to Moore's Merrymore.

Best wishes, Charles

Hi Trevor. Haven't hired Reflecting Light, but had a nose on it in June & took photos. I have to say I wasn't particularly impressed - I thought the furnishings looked tired & there was rust on the fridge door. Not the end of the world I know but you're entitled to expect high standards for the money Woods are asking.

Hi we have used woods for some time now and also booked for next year. not had reflecting but had evening& starlight very good boats. had problems with evening lighton Sat night just outside Yarmouth were towed to Acle the fan belt broke but was up and running 9am next day. enineers very good and when we go now they always chat to us i find them polite, freindly and helpful.I would reccomend them to anyone.Starlight has a walkround berth in the rear cabin and I like the set up of the boat very spacious.having beam of light next as it is slightly bigger as our group is growing.

Hi Mellisa, evening light is a nice boat hired it 3 times now easy to handle good for mooring. Bed is like all boats hard but I like that ( bad back) the bedroom gets very warm as the engine is in there next to the bed compared with other boats I rate it highly.that is for 2persons 3 would be ok but any more there will be no room. For 4 or more persons I would use starlight same as evening light but bigger.I rate wood highly they have always treated us good and we have booked for June 06 already. hope this helps.
