It has been brought to my attention that there seems to be a rumour that Pacific Cruisers might be ceasing hiring, floating about. As this would clearly be damaging to that company can I take the liberty of scotching it here and now, there is no truth in it. Indeed a new boat was added to their fleet last year and another may be added this. There are some hiring opportunities still available this season.

we went with pacific cruisers in april, and have to say they looked busy with regards to getting boats ready and doing boaty stuff ! and can i also say that they were extremely helpful and friendly too. I wouldnt hesitate to hire with them again..a very nice couple indeed.

Glad to say I hadn't heard that rumour, and even more pleased to hear that further expansion may be on the cards. I have hired from Pacific many times both in the time of Tony & Val and from Richard and Fiona, and have always found the yard to be as good as any yard on the broads. There attention to customers is second to none and they thouroughly deserve to be successful, and certainly don't deserve to suffer from such rumours. Thanks for putting the record straight Bill.

Thanks for this Bill, I've only just seen this thread. We are up again the 3rd week in August, and are of course hiring from Pacific. The last time I spoke to Fiona everything was fine, apart from Richard having a mid-life crisis, and talking about new boats. We personally never use anyone else, they are great value, and the personal and friendly service they offer would be hard to beat. The Southern Broads may not be for everyone, but we love it, and usually manage to spend a few days “up north”. So good on you R & F, you are a well run, & highly respected operation. We will continue to invest our Broads budget on the Chet for as long as we can. Tim
